Meet Your Therapist

Kia ora, I’m Bhavya – founder and principal psychologist at Konnect Psychology.

I am deeply passionate about walking alongside individuals as they navigate life’s challenges. My journey into psychology began after moving to Aotearoa, New Zealand, where I initially worked as a community support worker. Supporting some of the most vulnerable members of our society drew me toward the field of mental health and inspired me to pursue further training.

In 2018, I began my formal training in psychology at Auckland University of Technology, learning under the guidance of some of the most experienced therapists in the field. Since then, I’ve continued to build on that foundation with a commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based care.

I aim to create a safe, supportive, and collaborative space where clients feel heard and empowered to work toward meaningful change. My therapeutic approach draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). As a mindfulness practitioner, I also incorporate mindfulness-based strategies when appropriate to support growth and wellbeing.

In addition to working with individuals, I also partner with private organisations to deliver wellbeing services—helping teams build resilience and fostering healthier, more sustainable workplace environments.
